Connect 5.1 Speakers To
Your PC without Sound Card
If you do not enjoy watching Movie or Playing Games in
Stereo Channel sound system setup with your Personal Computer and want to enjoy
each and every bit of sound with 6 Channel Speaker. I am right here to guide
you how to connect 5.1 Speakers to your Personal Computer. It does not matter
whether your computer’s mother board has sound card or not. 5.1 Speaker System
has total 6 Channel, 5 full bandwidth channels with one Subwoofer. At present
time, 5.1 Speaker System is very popular and used in Home Theaters as well as
commercial cinemas. Out of 6 Speakers, two speakers are placed in front (Left
& Right), one in center, two speakers in the back side which are also known
as Surround Left & Right.
What are the
requirements in your Computer?
To connect 5.1 Speaker, you must have RealTek or HD VDeck
audio driver software installed in your computer. It looks like following
picture
If your computer does not have any sound card but still you
can connect 5.1 Speakers to your computer using “Line Out”, “Line In” and
“Mic In” Socket at the back of CPU.
According to Input Socket of your 5.1 Speaker System, you
should have the cables shown in the following picture
Make connection
Connect all the three cables of Speaker System to “Line Out”, “Line In”, and “Mic In”
Socket of your PC. Now Select 5.1 Channel if your computer has “RealTek” audio driver software or
select 6 Channel if your computer has HD
VDeck audio driver software. As you select these options, the sockets “Line Out”, “Line In”, and “Mic In”
are converted in 5.1 Channel Socket. One disadvantage in making connection with
these sockets is that you can not use microphone while using 5.1 Channel
because you do not have sound card in your mother board. If you have sound card
in your computer then you can use entire the feature at the same time.
